Trepa is a forecasting contest on Solana, backed by Colosseum and Balaji. You predict asset prices at short intervals, starting with Bitcoin, and pay the same fixed per round as everyone else. Traditional setups are often binary (yes/no, up/down). Trepa ranks how close you were to the resolved price. Who wins each round follows the median-error rule (in a typical pool, about half the field wins before skill); see Winning and losing for the full rule, ties, and exceptions. Fee return, prize pool, take, and accumulator: Payout overview. Each round you also get a Precision Score (100–1000) for leaderboards and streaks. That score is separate from the win/loss cutoff.

Key concepts

Estimate

Your predicted BTC price.

Outcome

The actual BTC price when the round settles.

Error

How far your estimate was from the outcome: ei=xiye_i = |x_i - y|.

Median error

The cutoff between winners and losers when all errors are sorted.

Entry fee

Fixed stake per round (e.g. $1). Returned in full if you win; lost if you lose.

Prize pool

Funded by losing entry fees (after take). Shared among winners by accuracy weight.

Precision Score

A 100–1000 score for how accurate you were in that round (leaderboards and streaks).
