For now, pools on Trepa are created by the Trepa team through an administrative process that ensures quality, accuracy, and consistency across all pools.

Template-based creation

Most pools are created using qualified templates. These templates are pre-configured for specific metrics and include standardized parameters like value ranges, unit of account, and resolution sources. When creating a pool from a template, administrators select the appropriate template and configure key dates.
  • End date: The cutoff time when the prediction window closes.
  • Reference date: The specific date and time the metric corresponds to. For example, in “US Trade Balance for January 2026”, January 2026 is the reference date.
  • Release date: When the official data is expected to become publicly available.

Future automation

As Trepa scales its engineering team and technology infrastructure, we plan to integrate high-quality data providers to automate pool creation as much as possible. This will enable more efficient pool management and faster deployment of new prediction markets while maintaining strict standards of quality and accuracy. Work on AI-assisted and decentralized pool-creation automation is already underway.
